Chumash FAQs

We want our students to able to predict a question that is addressed by Rashi or other Meforshim. The highest praise we can give a student who asked a good question is to point out that Rashi asks the same question. And indeed, “she’eilas chacham chatzi teshuvah.” However, it can be difficult and subtle for students to recognize the difference between a “klutz kasheh” and a “gutte kasheh.” The purpose of the following set of activities is to help all of our students ask compelling questions on the pesukim that they study. Once the students are asking the questions themselves they will be highly motivated to seek answers in Rashi and other Meforshim.
